Germany once held multiple colonies, including present-day Namibia. During German colonial rule, a genocide was carried out against the Herero and Nama peoples, resulting in the deaths of over 80% of the Indigenous population.
This weekend, Pamela Green and Teairrah Green are joined in collaboration with a youth-led activist group to discuss the documentary they created on the Namibian genocide. The event will also include a dialogue on how German colonialism continues to shape Namibia today.
